The best part of this graphic novel is the portrayal of Superman as imperfect. He made mistakes and because of that, bad things happened. And instead of acting like he's a hero and can do no wrong, his friends turned on him, forcing him to take responsibility and fix things. Also, the artwork in this collection of comics is absolutely stunning.

OK--in a totally-non-book-related moment, I would like to report that I just spent a moment or two hurling myself around the house as the US 4x100 free relay team won gold. Michael Phelps is (consults thesaurus...still consulting....uh.....I'll have to get back to you)
