The Trip to Panama
The Trip to Panama | Janosch
3 posts | 9 read
Little bear and little tiger live in a little house by the river. One day, a wonderful-smelling crate floats past them, with the word PANAMA written on it. Little bear and little tiger decide that Panama must be the land of their dreams, and set off on a quest to find it. A touching story about learning to appreciate what you have. Janoschs pictures of the adventurers have kindness as well as wit, reinforcing and extending the text. NBL Childrens Books of the Year

No, this didn‘t sparkle with me.

Maybe I did see it too much through “adult” eyes but I felt that it‘s a pretty imbalanced friendship since it‘s mostly Little Bear who‘s doing all the helpful things. Little Tiger‘s only share seems to be his fear that Tigerente (tiger duck) gets hurt. 🙄

Also it‘s too narrowly considered to say that if you have a friend, [who …] you have nothing to fear.

But: All the praise for the basic statement‼️👏🏼

Since I often use this as a winged word but am not really sure if I know the story, I decided to put this little audio play (one hour) on hold to refresh my memory.

Looking forward to it. I think it has the right length for #audiocooking.

What a wonderful surprise! @Sarah83 sent my daughter and I great care package all the way from Germany. The wall decoration is already hanging and Rose is busy eating her PomBears while wearing an owl sticker. After her snack we shall sit and read this great looking book. What a lucky pair we are. Thank you for your generosity Sarah x

Sarah83 So happy you like everything 😍 7y
