Mehso-so

My cousin loved this one; I liked it. Fast-paced, which I did love, but the internal monologue felt repetitive, like first the scenes would happen, and then I'd get the play-by-play in every POV character's thoughts. Also, there's no doubt the author can plot a mystery, but I felt like it was a mistake not to connect two of the major mysteries together in the end somehow. The romance plot line was great. #Mystery #Procedural

An epiphany: We hear/read this often, that there are no coincidences when it comes to crimes. Interestingly, I've noticed that in the same books where the fictional detectives spout this philosophy, those same detectives happen to be in the right place at the right time, an awful lot of the time. #ThingsThatMakeYouGoHmm

Just hit the lower right-hand corner of page 99, and shocker, nothing happened. Salad's good though. Love me some sustainable sushi. They have sushi burritos here too, which I'll have to try next time. Book's good too. Nothing literary about it though. This is a fast-paced, page-turning procedural written by a journalist with big journalism credits on her resume. Subject is sketchy adoptions. #eReaderMentality
