I didn't realize this book consisted of the two picture books I already read... The Lost Thing and The Rabbits. Still I can say I'm glad I was able to find this in the library because the first story “The Red Tree“ was just simply amazing and superb. It's about a girl who is sad and at the end is happy because she found what she is looking for.

Sometimes I just grab interesting looking graphic/comic books to fill in between books. The art in his is interesting, three short short stories but the art fills in where the words alone would leave you wondering.

Shaun Tan's work is hard to put into words. You have to experience it yourself. His illustrations are so surreal and have so much detail, I could stare at them all day and keep finding something new. He's written and illustrated picture books, he's worked in film, he even won the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award! I just didn't know he was Australian until I looked it up for #feistyfeb. 😄
