Tiger Eye
Tiger Eye: The First Dirk & Steele Novel | Marjorie M. Liu
5 posts | 7 read | 1 reading | 8 to read
The first book in Marjorie M. Liu's extraordinary Dirk & Steele Series! Long ago they roamed the earth — dragons, tigers . . . shapeshifters — men who wore the forms of beasts. Their world was magic. Now it is gone. But some remain . . . He looks out of place in Dela Reese’s Beijing hotel room— exotic and poignant, some mythic, tragic hero of an epic tale. With his feline yellow eyes, he’s like nothing from her world. Yet Dela has danced through the echo of his soul and knows this warrior will obey her every command. Hari has been used and abused for millennia. But he sees, upon his release from the riddle box, that this new mistress is different. There is a hidden power in Dela’s eyes—and with her, he may regain all that was lost to him. Where once he savaged, now he must protect; where before he knew only hatred, now he must embrace love. Dela is the key. For Dela, he will risk all.

Tiger Eye is the first book in the Dirk & Steele paranormal romances by Monstress author Marjorie Liu. #1stinseries #sizzlinsummerbooks #romantsy

8leagueboot Should I start here with her non-Monstress catalogue? 7y
AmandaL @8leagueboot This is her first book. If you like romance, then definitely start here. If you prefer urban fantasy with a romantic subplot start with her Hunter Kiss series. 7y

Pickpick

Finished my first heterosexual romance (I mostly read lesbian romance). It was a fun book. Interesting characters and loved the world created. The only issue I have is that I'm not a big fan of insta-love. The romance is quick sand I'm a fan of the slow burn. But, I enjoyed this story and will pick up the other books in this series.

Haha! Spontaneous pregnancies. I'm enjoying my first straight romance book. It was recommended on an early show of @bookriot s #GetBooked podcast.
