It's all paws on deck as a librarian and her rescue cat track down a killer in the newest book in the national bestselling Bookmobile Cat mystery series. Minnie Hamilton and her rescue cat, Eddie, cruise around lovely Chilson, Michigan delivering happiness and good reads in their bookmobile. But the feisty librarian is worried that the bookmobile's future could be uncertain when a new library board chair arrives and doesn't seem too friendly to her pet project. Still, she has to put her personal worries aside when she and Eddie are out on their regular route and one of their favorite customers doesn't turn up to collect her books. Minnie, at Eddie's prodding, checks on the woman and finds her lying dead in her snow-covered driveway. Now it's up to Minnie and her friends--feline and otherwise--to find the perpetrator and give them their due.

Book 7 in the Bookmobile Cat Mystery series was not a disappointment. I'm starting to know the pattern of the stories, but each one is just intriguing enough to keep me interested while not taxing my brain. #67-2022

I tend to have several books going at once, so I often finish some around the same time. Today I finished The Sentence is Death, which I really liked in spite of some improbable and convoluted plot elements, and Booking the Crook, which I also liked — it‘s a typical cozy mystery, but fun.

Another nice addition to the Bookmobile Cat mystery series. Minnie, with her cat Eddie, discovers the murder victim while out on a bookmobile run. Lots of suspects abound. Meanwhile, Minnie is dealing with other things in her life that could become rather complicated. A fast read.

Minnie is a great character & I can feel her passion for the bookmobile. What made this a mystery that you could lose yourself to was that there were many characters in this story that had plausible reasons for being a possible suspect. Minnie had many uncomfortable moments where she had to turn a critical eye on people she thought she really knew. In addition, Minnie had some surprises in her personal life that she also had to focus on.
