Also, this book is 🔥! I‘m loving it. Three college friends start the 3AC (Asian-American Artist Collective) and explore race, writing, art, and try to find meaning in their lives and with each other.

Being 1/4 Korean but with all the privileges of whiteness puts me in a weird place, and I think I‘ll always be drawn to books like these about searching for one‘s authentic identity 😍.

I really enjoyed this, especially the second half. The final paragraph was truly heartbreaking in an unexpected way. There were also a couple of really memorable scenes that would probably translate well to film.

This book reads less like a novel than a memoir. Passionate but repetitive, it struggles along against the lack of plot before finally trying to squash the whole story into the final two chapters. As much as I admire Lee's wit and verbal dexterity, I struggled with the weak narrative. ⭐️⭐️

50 pages in and totally enamored with this book. Engaging, fast-paced and funny.
