This was a good, quick read. I thought it explored a difficult topic in an honest way.

Picked up this powerhouse of a novel yesterday. What does it mean to be a parent? How much can you give before you break? Does the heart truly have the capacity to love even when the child you so desperately want to connect with is so broken? What if what you dreamed of isn't what your life turns out to be? A raw, unflinching look at fostering a child and the toll it takes on the adults who so greatly desired a child.
Wow. I was expecting great writing, but this was exquisite. An unflinching look at what families are made of. Heartbreaking and heartwarming. An intimate and realistic account of what foster/adoption means. Please read.
