so-so
This book is less about ghosts and more about seances and mediums, describing the techniques/tricks cultivated during their height of popularity. Aykroyd shares familial experiences (i.e., his grandfather's seances) as well as discussing mediums of notoriety. Although interesting, the work is disjointed with sloppy editing (missing footnotes, weak transitions, and general disorganization), creating a frustrating reading experience at times.
