I‘ve been reading the poems of Padraic Colum. (I first came into contact with his poetry listening to Van Morrison & The Chieftains, ‘She moved through the fair‘). I‘ve now got this library book: the prose is rich and unhurried, ‘..the citizens [of Dublin] are leisurely in their ways and disengaged in their minds. The size of the city and the pursuits of the inhabitants gave rise to an interest in character.—
