Fuzzy Mud
Fuzzy Mud | Louis Sachar
From the author of the acclaimed bestseller Holes, winner of the Newbery Award and the National Book Award, comes Fuzzy Mud, a New York Times bestseller. "Sachar blends elements of mystery, suspense, and school-day life into a taut environmental cautionary tale."--Publishers Weekly Be careful. Your next step may be your last. Fifth grader Tamaya Dhilwaddi and seventh grader Marshall Walsh have been walking to and from Woodridge Academy together since elementary school. But their routine is disrupted when bully Chad Hilligas challenges Marshall to a fight. To avoid the conflict, Marshall takes a shortcut home through the off-limits woods. Tamaya, unaware of the reason for the detour, reluctantly follows. They soon get lost. And then they find trouble. Bigger trouble than anyone could ever have imagined. In the days and weeks that follow, the authorities and the U.S. Senate become involved, and what they uncover might affect the future of the world.

Fuzzy Mud was written by Louis Sachar. My mentor teacher is reading this book to my class and I get to hear parts of the story every Tuesday and Thursday. I really like this book. It gives descriptive details that makes the reader/listener feel like they are apart of the story. In addition, each chapter always leaves off making you wanting more.

This was a really interesting middle grade novel about the environment and the scary things that could happen when we aren‘t aware of the effect we have on our surroundings. It felt like a very important book for the target audience and very well written!

When a “clean” biofuel sets off an invasion of microorganisms, Marshall, Tamaya, and the school bully must find a way to get help. A light science fiction novel. Fun, not too scary.

I read 15 books this January, which is pretty fine considering I had my brains scrambled in December. Very happy to be 12% into my Goodreads goal 😊😊😊

Cinfhen That's pretty amazing, indeed! Glad you are making strides 💪🏼 8y

I decided to squeeze this little book into the last day of January. It's kind of a weird little book, but it was entertaining. Kind of an eco-science-thriller for 9-12 year olds. A good primer if you want your kid to read Michael Crichton books when they get older 😊

sandra888 neat. will suggest to my kids. 🤓 8y
