This was super cute and a great boon to kick off the fall and Halloween season. It was light and fun and magical. I love witchy stories and this one was perfect with the tension of a curse and the romance and an enchanted town. I really enjoyed the story and am excited to read the next book!

This wasn‘t my favorite book by this author, but I still liked it. There were parts that I really found super unbelievable and that made it hard to stay interested. But, the twists definitely took me by surprise. I really wasn‘t sure how this was going to come together. I kept going back and forth and I liked how the author ended this one. It was unexpected and entertaining.

I thought this was a really beautiful story with a meaningful message. I loved the characters. I could really see all sides of this and feel for each person in the story. I loved the ending and thought it was excellent writing. The story itself felt like it took awhile to get to the point in some places and some parts I wish were fleshed out more like Roman‘s story and more about Scotty and Kenna‘s past. Overall, I really liked this one!

Meh. I thought this was going to be really good but I really didn‘t care for the writing. It was super sarcastic but it just didn‘t work for me. It was all over the place and I was just bored with it for the most part. I thought with a story line of spontaneous combustion it would have been really entertaining and fast paced, but I just couldn‘t get into this one. At least I had my reading buddy, Edgar, here to snuggle with on this rainy day!

I wanted to love this book so much but I really just didn‘t. It started out strong and I thought the mystery was interesting. It‘s really the only thing that kept me going. It was so heavy on the tennis background and so long that I just kept losing interest. Also, the family dynamic was too much for me. It just didn‘t work, in my opinion. The twist was good, but this one was just okay for me.

I liked this book more than I expected! It was really fun with entertaining characters and a steamy romance. I love a good story about wedding shenanigans and this just started out fun and kept up the momentum. Lucy Score is definitely my new fave and I will be devouring all of her books now.

I liked this book a lot. I felt this story on such a level. I think every woman knows a guy like Stephen. Not much really happens in this book. It‘s really about a relationship and how it runs it‘s course and I think I really liked it because it‘s so relatable. I think the characters were so real and the story just hit me hard and took me back to my dating days with my own Stephen Demarco from way back when.

I couldn‘t focus on this one. There were a lot of characters and it just took me forever to get through it and it felt like not a lot was going on. Disclaimer - I have been sick with Covid and think maybe that could have made it more difficult for me to get through this one. Maybe I will revisit another time when I feel better!

I thought this was really well written. I loved the point of view of this book being from a woman who was a PI. It added a very interesting element of really learning about this type of work along with the true crime aspect and the pieces of her life that she wound into the story. There were parts that were a little slow for me, but this book had a lot of depth and feeling and I would definitely recommend it!

I liked this book a lot. Sometimes the writing bothered me. There was some repetition and some of it just didn‘t work for me, but the story was really good. I definitely predicted what was going to happen very early on, but I liked how it built up. I thought it was a really interesting story that dealt with some heavy topics: infertility, mental health, addiction, etc. It came together well and had a satisfying ending!

I did not expect this book to be so good. I‘ve read quite a few books that incorporate time travel or alternate realities in some way, but this one may be my favorite. Oona is such a great character and the many characters that are introduced are just as awesome. I loved how colorful and fun this book was and how it really just made me think about life and living in the moment. This was absolutely excellent. I loved it.

This wasn‘t my favorite by this author. It was good, but I did feel like it drug on too long and there was a lot of unnecessary pieces of the story. I liked the characters and it was an interesting story with a lot of ethical questions, but I just felt like there wasn‘t enough that made it super compelling like some of her other books.

I thought this book was magical. This modern day retelling/ extension of Peter Pan was dark and suspenseful and everything I had hoped it would be. I didn‘t want to put it down and never wanted it to end. The author did a fantastic job of blending the fantasy with the modern time and I loved reading about the Darlings and her interpretation of what they would look like after a few generations. Excellent writing. Compelling story. I loved this!

I‘m not really sure about this one. It just didn‘t flow for me and I found it pretty confusing. The setting was definitely a main piece of this one but I just didn‘t fully feel satisfied in the end. I‘m not quite sure what I expected with this book, but it took me completely by surprise. The writing just flowed so well and the author is funny and genuine and so relatable. I loved her stories about her life and children and what it means to be a parent and alive in general. This isn‘t an action packed book, but I couldn‘t put it down and it has a message in it that I think is something that everyone needs to hear.

I was really looking forward to this one but it fell flat for me in some ways. I love the satire in it and the clever ways the author tied in popular culture in a tongue in cheek kind of way, but I felt like it dragged on too long and took a really long time to get to the actual point of the book. It‘s a very smart book in the way it rips apart teen culture and expectations of young girls, but I just think it could have been shorter.

I really liked this story. Not much really happened but I loved that I centered on a father daughter relationship and the loss of a parent and it‘s heart. This reminded me of something that John Green would right (reminiscent of Looking for Alaska and The Fault in our Stars). It is especially tough to read this book about a made up strain of TB and contagion amidst what we have witnessed in the world with COVID. I loved the characters and the coming of age story. Definitely an interesting book, but the ending was so rushed and kept me from giving it 5 stars.

This was a bit dense in parts with a lot of research, but I like that it combined the authors real life experiences with science and relatable situations. I thought there would have been more variety in what she discussed which is why I didn‘t give it 5 stars. Not quite what I expected but very informative. Living in Philly makes this more interesting since we have such easy access to the Mutter Museum and can visualize the areas that are discussed.
