I don‘t know about this one. Even though this wasn‘t a super long book, I just felt like it drug on for forever. I honestly kept hanging on for Angel because I loved his character. It game Big Fish vibes at first, but then just fell flat for me. Cool concept. Some interesting things, but overall, I didn‘t love this one.

This was just a personal preference for me on why I didn‘t care for this one. It was a bit slow for me in my opinion. And the shift in time and characters was really hard to follow especially when trying to absorb the historical elements of the book and the setting. It was a great story. I just didn‘t love it like everyone else does.

This is one of the best books I have read all year and probably in all the books I‘ve read, truly. It will stay with me for the rest of my life. It is so inspiring and well written. It is a self help style book, but I love the message of confidence building and the drive it made me feel. This book made me better by reading it. Do yourself a favor. Get this book. It‘s worth every single penny.

I really loved the premise of this book. It captured my interest right away and held it all the way through. I think maybe there were too many characters and it was a lot to keep track of all the different stories. But, I loved the concept and the way it was written. I think this could definitely be a really cool movie if they adapted it. Definitely a thought provoking and interesting book.

I liked the setting and the general concept but it was just weird for me. It felt off. I didn‘t like the writing. It didn‘t feel genuine or relatable. I just could not fully get into this one or stay interested. It was very wordy and the characters weren‘t my favorite. Just okay for me.

This was cute but I didn‘t love it that much. It was just okay for me. I know a lot of people loved this one, but I don‘t know if I would continue through the series. It was fun for one book but not sure if I want to go to the next one.

marleed I feel like I should have left this series as a first book stand alone, as well. 2w

This was so good. So creepy. Tons of twists. I couldn‘t put it down when I picked it up. I love this author so much. She really knows how to take something spooky and make it real and feel like it could actually happen. Definitely a must read if you enjoy horror and thrillers. Didn‘t see the ending coming at all.

I really enjoyed this one more than I expected. It kept my interest completely all the way through. I liked the alternating timelines and settings and the way the story built up to what happened. The twist was really good and I didn‘t expect it to be what it was. I loved how it came together in the end, the characters and the story.

Just okay for me. Super spicy but not a lot of substance. Maybe because it was a novella. It just didn‘t have a lot of a story to convince me to keep going with the series. But it wasn‘t awful.

I did not expect to love this book as much as I did. It reminded me a little bit of The Time Traveller‘s Wife which I also loved. It had a lot of the same elements in it, but less timelines. I loved the mystery aspect of this book. There were a lot of pieces to put together which made this book really hard to put down. The writing was beautiful and the author really capture the setting perfectly. Definitely a must read.

I could not put this down. I loved so much about this. I loved the strong female characters and the fact that this really centered on friendship. I generally love a good vampire story and this was so good. It was kinda creepy, a little gory, but also fun. The women were relatable. They were just like you and me. And the ending was just so good. If not 5 stars, close enough to give it 5 for me. Loved this one.

I liked this one. It had a lot of good twists. I felt like it consistently kept me guessing which I really liked. I loved the references to Misery throughout. It reminded me of the show The Patient that was recently on and I enjoyed that. I did think it was a bit unbelievable in parts, but overall, I did like it and once I got time to read it I couldn‘t put it down.

I really loved this one. The story sucked me in from the very beginning. It reminded me a little bit of The Haunting of Hill House in some ways with the family history and the pull of the house. It had so many stories within it and I felt like the author put so much work into this story to make it feel real and believable. I thought it was perfectly written and I enjoyed evening about it.

I didn‘t love this one as much as The Quotable Marathoner, but lots of great tips in here and inspiration. Great ideas on stretching and definitely vital for someone who is about to run their first marathon. Would definitely recommend this one for runners. It was super informative and really helped me a lot with strategy and thought process. Approaching my first marathon in less than 8 weeks! Hopefully I can apply some stuff from this book!

I think maybe this authors style just isn‘t for me. I keep trying and failing with her books. I feel like the writing just doesn‘t get my attention at all and I fall off very early on with her books. This was just okay. It took way too long to go anywhere and it was a struggle only a quarter of the way through for me to keep going.

Whereas I loved the writing and found it to work so perfectly for an Alice in Wonderland continuation, I thought the story was lacking. It just didn‘t have enough to it that was really different and interesting. I agree with a lot of reviews that said that it needed more of Wonderland and less of the parallel story. I wanted more from this, but also a HUGE Alice fan, so I didn‘t hate it because it did have some cool elements.

It felt like it really tied everything up nicely even though I do think there could be potential for a third book. Love the characters, but in the sequel I do think we lost some of the initial charm of the characters first being introduced and getting to know them. It was still a nice story and sweet.
