Alternative Alamat

I wasn't able to go to Komikon (local comic convention in Manila) over the weekend but thanks to @itstimeana and @minavesguerra, I still have a Komikon haul. Yay! Thank you, friends. I'm behind on reading Filipino comics and I'm looking forward to catching up on them.

Good morning! This picture was from last night, still at Tweedle Book Cafe. The fancy floral teacup has hibiscus-infused hot chocolate by a shop in Cebu called The Chocolate Chamber.🌺☕ The cafe used to have a jasmine flavored one too, but that isn't available anymore.

Good public libraries are rare in the Philippines, so I'm glad book cafes are becoming more common. While I have donated books to book drives for public school libraries, I also wanted to support Tweedle Book Cafe and have donated some of my physical copies to them in the past. All of them have these stamps at the back. I hope they're being enjoyed by other book lovers in the metro!

I'm not much of a beer drinker but how could I resist ordering Alamat Craft Brew's Bungisngis dark chocolate-flavored beer? It matches my book for today's #BuwanNgMgaAkdangPinoy. Alternative Alamat is a #fantasy anthology, inspired by Philippine mythology. Alamat means "legend" in Filipino. I've had my copy for a while now and will read it this month. What other fantasy books written by Filipino authors would you recommend?
