Rereading the Kate Daniels novels in anticipation of the 10th and final book. Magic Bites might not be my fave in the series but I still have a lot of love for it. And “Here, kitty, kitty, kitty” is still my fave line from a shifter meet cute, bar none. Also, magic + muffin + mocha = win.

Started this book last night and even less than halfway through, I already know it‘s a pick. At least 4 stars, although I always wait til the end to give the fifth. Complex characters who rise above the bad stuff that happens to them and learn to accept themselves, even turn their personal demons into something that makes them stronger. Plus, snarky senses of humour that just mesh. I‘m rooting for them so hard. #romantsy

Loved the heat, humour and scandal of this read! After over 40 books, Lt. Eve Dallas and Roarke have still got it. And as always, they left me craving pizza. #romantsy

Next read is a reread (also a swim read, hope I don‘t drop my phone in the water) because characters from this historical romance were mentioned in the contemporary romance I just finished—and loved! I loved this book when I first read it earlier this year too, and only now did I notice a recommendation from @EloisaJames on the cover! #romantsy

Go-to author paired well with one of my all-time fave go-to meals while waiting for my flight home the other day. First time reading a contemporary romance novel by Sherry Thomas, and it‘s now one of my faves in the genre. The characters are swoonworthy but relatably flawed, and the conflict and its resolution fills up the heart like rain in a reservoir. Glad @SuzettedeBorja pushed me to read this when we lunched with @Chachic last week. #romantsy

Enjoying a bowl of binignit while revisiting my fave parts.

Entered a spare copy I had of Fall Like Rain by @itstimeana into #BookSwapCebu at Cebu Literary Festival's #LitFest x #Komiket! Hope if finds a good home!

This book is a hard read if you don't pay attention to trigger warnings and are sensitive to scenes of violence toward women, but I felt the world of hurt the characters went through drove the plot forward and sweetened the HEA. Still, I was in dire need of comfort food after reading it! Thank goodness for friends who offer to treat you to katsudon and more yummy Japanese food!

Sam Aquino and Gio Gahol were so good as Georgie and Javier from Under the Sugar Sun by @jenniferhallock! Hoping #romanceclass stages more #FeelsSoHot readings! Hoping it's an annual thing!

The asha in Rin Chupeco's The Bone Witch made me think of magical warrior geisha for some reason, and it evoked in me a craving for ramen.

I finished this book in four hours. I can't decide if I want to read it over or read the first book even though I know I should sleep because I have work in the morning. It's so good and hot. It is everything promised and more, like when your boyfriend whom you adore takes you out on a date to your favorite restaurant and you not only get an amazing meal with food you would never buy yourself because you are frugal, but you also get a proposal.
