The Marrowbone Marble Company
The Marrowbone Marble Company: A Novel | Glenn Taylor
4 posts | 2 read | 2 to read
M. Glenn Taylors plain spoken eloquence on labor, race, and war recalls the voices in Studs Terkels inspired Working. The Marrowbone Marble Company is a novel of stirring clarity and power. Jayne Anne Phillips, author of Lark and Termite Author M. Glenn Taylor was nominated for the National Book Critics Circle Award for his novel The Ballad of Trenchmouth Taggart. Taylor returns spectacularly with The Marrowbone Marble Company, a sweeping story set against the changing landscape of post-World War II America that recalls The Story of Edgar Sawtelle and the early lyrical work of Cormac McCarthy. A masterwork of Southern fiction that the National Book Award-winning author of Spartina, John Casey, calls, a terrific rough-and-tumble novel, The Marrowbone Marble Company is a gift from a truly exhilarating American voice.

Spent a couple of hours reading the rest of This epic book.
It's so very readable yet covers such important and necessary themes. Very intense at times and he characters are both likeable yet horrid in equal measure!

Dan_1988 Hi Rach. I see you have a kindle or iPad. I was wondering if you would like to have a digital advance reader copy of my new book in exchange for an Amazon review? The publication day is April 13th but I‘m trying to gain some reviews on Amazon. My book is on my account, it‘s called The Boy in the Well. Let me know if you‘re interested and I will email over a mobi document 😊 3y
rachaich @Dan_1988 whilst your book looks great, I'm not really into that genre. But thank you 😊 3y

One of the independent book sellers nearby publish their personal reading lists. This was one of them and I took a risk. Bloomin glad I did, it's very readable and I'm not getting any housework done!

Oh my, the immense excitement of choosing books from the awesome Mr B's in Bath. I had a voucher so used their superb website to view their own personal reading lists and thus picked these reads 😍😚☺🤗🤩
