Continuing "Operation Read More 2016 Releases" this morning. ??❤️

Eh. The character study of Jean drive the book. But there are a lot, too many descriptions of sweaty people so that the book felt overworked.

This is just straight up Midwestern living. Like if you grew up in the 1970s this book feels like your people unlike the last one I read where ladies were chopping up dead men.

A lot is packed into this relatively slim book. Bleak Midwestern, character driven, a little Ethan Frome-y, but in a good way

First #stats post. Great reading month that I couldn't choose one favorite read.

Wow. This small books packs a huge wallop. 2 women in 2 houses separated by 1 driveway on 1 dairy farm in Wisconsin. It's told from the viewpoint of 1 women, alternating between the early 50s and early 60s.

One of my heavier reading months this year, though all my reads were great. On to July, which means time to only read backlist.
