Raymond Chandler's Los Angeles
Raymond Chandler's Los Angeles | Raymond Chandler, Alain Silver, Elizabeth Ward
1 post | 1 to read
Re-issued for the 50th anniversary of the film of Chandler's novel 'The Big Sleep', this homage to film noir is a visionary journey across a landscape of darkened bungalows, decaying office blocks and sinister nightspots - an atmospheric tribute to both the writer and his city. Contains over 150 photographs and extracts from Chandler's classic detective fiction.

I picked this up at my local indie bookstore last night and it is so cool! My parents grew up in the LA area and we took frequent trips there to see my grandparents when I was growing up. I lived in the area for a few years myself as a newlywed. I love LA and I think that's why I keep coming back to Chandler.
