A mage’s soul is forged in the crucible of magic. Raistlin Majere is six years old when he is introduced to an archmage who enrolls him in a school for the study of magic. Back in the day I gobbled up Dragonlance novels like they were candy. Raistlan Majere was always so fascinating to me. I mean, he was one of the good guys...and yet...he was such an asshole and only interested in power.

My young self loved that about him. One of my favorite Fantasy Mages! ā¯¤ļø¸

Aliciaftw I just read the main trilogy of Dragonlance when I was a kid but I loved it! I definitely need to get around to reading more of Dragonlance after my current Forgotten Realms binge. 7y

TK-421 @andrew61 A friend of mine introduced me to the Odd Thomas books a few years ago. I enjoyed them enough to buy my own copies (even the one I think is the weakest in the series so far) I still have a few more books to read, but other than Brother Odd, I like them. If you're looking for spine chilling horror, these probably won't fit the bill. But if you're looking for a relatable hero who's constantly evolving as he fights evil, Odd's your guy. 8y
