Well, this was a quick bail! I gave it a half an hour, and didn‘t enjoy a single minute of it. One more book off my shelf, and the first book scratched off of my #bookspinbingo.

deirdrebeecher A lot of Allighams novels aged badly. I prefer her short stories. But I will never get over a line in one novel where she says what a female character needs is 'a good rape'. 😡 4y
