Mehso-so

The book was a decent overview of Muir's life, but I found it quite dry. The author often stuck to the bare facts of Muir's work and travels without any explanation as to what was driving him. Not a bad read, but I wouldn't recommend.
Pictured: eerie turquoise water of North Cascades National Park. Minerals in the glacier runoff cause the odd color. John Muir studied glacier movement in America.

John Muir, in a letter to his wife during his first visit to Rainier:
"Did not mean to climb it, but got excited, and soon was on top. "
The picture is Rainier seen from halfway up Tolmie Lookout. John was clearly much more fit than I!
