so-soThe book was a decent overview of Muir's life, but I found it quite dry. The author often stuck to the bare facts of Muir's work and travels without any explanation as to what was driving him. Not a bad read, but I wouldn't recommend.

so-soFinished up Sourcery on the way back from Olympic today, and even my good mood from all the mountains and hiking couldn't make me enjoy it. The book started out beautifully, lots of humor, an interesting antagonist, but the middle went downhill. Two- dimensional supporting characters, predictable plot, and one of those "forget it ever happened" endings. Ugh! I gave it a so-so because the first half really was funny.
