Its Marvels 80th anniversary this year...and they celebrated by releasing a 1-shot comic called Marvel Comics 1000 (even though no issue has actually yet reached 1000). 🤔
I think they're feeling a little intimidated by Detective Comics celebrating 1000 issues earlier this year and this is their way of competing. 😂
Regardless - this is a cool double sized anthology issue that's super fun. So, happy anniversary Marvel. 🤷♂️👏

pickCelebrating 80 years of Marvel, this super-sized comic brings together the talents of countless writers, artists, & colorists to create a single page comic for just about (and by just about I mean every single one) all the characters in the Marvel cast. What‘s the most fun is seeing the different artistic and/or writing styles, getting acquainted or reacquainted with characters, & exploring Marvel‘s history. Definitely a fun read.
#NCBD and it‘s a big one today. It‘s release day for Marvel Comics #1000 and the comic store, knowing my enthusiasm for all things Skottie Young, ordered his variant cover for me. 😍 Also out today, Wonder Woman #77, Star Pig #2, Runaways #24, Ascender #5 & Skyward, Vol. 3. It‘s so much awesome, I almost don‘t know where to begin... Maybe I‘ll just have to spend the afternoon—it‘s the last week of summer vacation after all—reading all the things!
