The Essence of Evil: A Completely Gripping Crime Thriller | Rob Sinclair
3 posts | 3 read | 1 to read
He’s your attacker. He’s a murderer. He’s your twin. When DI Dani Stephens returns to work after an attack that almost ended her life, she’s quickly plunged into a horrific new case, as dead bodies are discovered on the streets of Birmingham. But with no link between the victims, Dani has to get inside the killer’s mind - so turns to the murderer she knows best. Her own twin brother... But what makes a psychopath? Can understanding her twin help her find a murderer who leaves no trace? As the circle closes on Dani, the clock is ticking and she needs a breakthrough – before she becomes the latest victim. A heart-stopping crime thriller that fans of Peter James and Mark Billingham won’t be able to put down.

This is first experience with this author- thanks, #NetGalley! It‘s a police procedural with a main character recently returning to her work as a DI- but is she really ready? This fast-paced thriller shifts perspectives and makes for a promising start to a series!

Great, realistic characters, with some real surprising moments in this incredibly well plotted crime thriller, that‘s so engrossing it really is unputdownable…. If you like a dark twisty thriller, you‘ll love this.

Today it's time for my stop of the The Essence Of Evil blog tour! I knew I wanted to read this story as soon as I saw that the detective lead has a serial killer twin brother... Talk about a disturbing twist! The Essence Of Evil was without doubt an excellent read and a promising start of a new detective series. Dani Stephens is a fascinating character and I will be looking forward to hear more of her in the future!
