Third Option | Vince Flynn
3 posts | 21 read | 4 to read
#1 "New York Times" bestselling author Vince Flynn s high-energy ("Booklist") political thriller places CIA superagent Mitch Rapp in the crosshairs of an enemy even he did not anticipate. When diplomacy fails and military intervention is inappropriate, our leaders sometimes take the third option. Mitch Rapp has been assigned just such an unofficial task, targeting a German industrialist who is supplying a notorious terror sponsor. But when the mission is dangerously compromised, Rapp realizes he s been deemed an expendable asset in a power battle on home turf: the choice of Dr. Irene Kennedy as successor to dying CIA director Thomas Stansfield has many detractors, some who will resort to extreme measures to prevent her from taking the reins. But no one counted on Mitch Rapp s return or how far he ll go to find out who set him up."

Pickpick

Had the urge to read a spy/thriller and went back to an old reliable by Vince Flynn. His books are always widely entertaining, especially Mitch Rapp.

Mehso-so

Good end of semester reading. Political intrigue and some action I could dip in and out of while taking breaks from writing papers.

That said, probably my least favorite of the Rapp series I‘ve read so far. Transfer of Power was a much stronger book. Hoping that the next in the series has some more action.

The Third Option | Vince Flynn

Stumbled across Vince Flynn whilst looking for another Jack Reacher fix (I can't help it, I love them). Really enjoying the Mitch Rapp series, throws a lot of politics into the action but this enhances it and makes it less run-of-the-mill like some action/thriller series can become
