I just can't help myself. Now, 7 books out from the library might not seem like much, and 2 of them are books I previously had to return unread because of the move. But I have 15 others on hold, and if they all come in I don't think they'll even let me check them all out. 😅 And, of course, I'm currently reading... um... 4 different non-library books. 🙈

thegirlwiththelibrarybag 🤣 sounds like me! Maybe suspend the ones you think will come in soon so that you‘ve got some time to catch up (or just to admire them in a pile for a couple of weeks til they have to go back… which is something that happens sometimes 🫣) 7mo

I'm stuck between So-So and Pick, but this book includes using kindness, love and understanding to combat racism which I'm not entirely sure would work.

If white people are racist against anyone of a different skin colour than themselves, it would be detrimental to that person's livelihood, so how could they possibly think acting with understanding towards that white person would benefit them? It just seems too idealistic for me.
