In 2013, a letter written by Admiral Lord Nelson was sold at auction for £,000. In the letter, Nelson describes the French as “thieves, murderers, oppressors and infidels”. A little unfair, and the French probably though much the same of the Brits. Still, the letter shows that Nelson clearly considered France to be #ANationOfThieves
