I would use this book of limerick poems to introduce what limericks are and fun examples of some. The words used in the book are not complex so it would be appropriate for third graders to sixth graders.

Review:
The book of poems is full of different topics like frogs driving cars, smart kids, and so on. The book is a book of limericks which are short rhymes that tell a story and follow certain rules. The rules are the first two lines introduce the subject of the poem, the last line wraps up the poem, and the third and fourth line rhyme with one another and are 5 or 6 syllables.

“He was cut from those teams but adjusted from his dreams”

I thought this book was cute. A little out of my zone but definitely cute for kids.

Really cute with intriguing rhyming! Keeps children engaged in the silliness :)

I like that this book talks about things that could be difficult to have conversations about In the classroom, but this poem makes it lighter.

Super cute and funny book that‘s used poetry to be silly I think this is a great way to get kids interested in poetry

I think this is really cute. I like the rhyming.

This was cute they described what a limerick was before the book started. I think kids would like this and laugh.
