pickAnnie and Helen by Deborah Hopkinson and Raul Colón is a B story. It shares the wonderful relationship of Helen Keller and her teacher Annie Sullivan. This would be a great AS story because Hopkinson is an amazing author that has written quality books. I think a great resource to pair with this book is an informational article like #ucflae3414f19

It also would be great to include clips from the movie miracle worker to show the relationship between Annie and Helen. The ESOL strategy I would be applying is 28 by providing a biography of significant women. And the UDL strategy would be 3.1 by supplying background knowledge of the two through the other articles. 4y
