Review: Chameleon, Chameleon by Joy Cowley, 2005, is a nonfiction story all about chameleons! It uses photos to tell a real story about a chameleon.
Blurb: This is a great example of the genre because it is factual, it's telling a story based on photos that were taken of an actual chameleon and uses vocabulary that is true and relevant to the topic.
Quote: “Chameleons come in many sizes, from as large as a big squirrel to as tiny as a matchstick.“

My favorite part about this short read was the colors used in the illustrations to depict the chameleons.

Chameleon, Chameleon by Joy Cowley published in 2005 was such a cute fun colored book to read. Kids would really love this book it is quick and to the point. In this book you can experience close up many of the moods and colors of the chameleon. It is based on one chameleon who is in search of a new home. On his journey, he meets other rain forest animals, not all of them friendly! One chameleon is not found at first then sees happy colors and is!

“Two Chameleon friends...have happy colors.”

This would be a great book to use in class because it would be a very educational book for children, and would be a great tool in a unit about animals and their behaviors

Published in 2005- this book is all about how a Chameleon lives in its habitat and interacts with other animals. It is a cool book because the images are real pictures of Chameleons

This is a nonfiction book that was published in the year of 2005. This book gives great background on an animal that people do not usually see in their backyard, at least where I'm from we don't. This book gives an extensive amount of information on Chameleons.
Throughout this book, there are pictures and facts about this amazing/beautiful creature. The pictures throughout the book are real photographs and keep the reader engaged throughout.

“The chameleon rests in his tree. His skin has peaceful colors.“

We could read this book when starting the topic of animals, specifically reptiles.

I like this book because it incorporates more types of reptiles rather than just chameleons. It's simply worded so many age levels can benefit.

The pictures associated with chameleon‘s are clearly assorted and vary therefore this book provides that. It also is written in a way easy for students to understand and has onomatopoeia‘s.

Chameleon, Chameleon by Joy Crowley published in 2005 tells the day in the life of the chameleon. It discusses his rest, his hunt for food, a new home, and more. It‘s very interesting and colorful.
