I love this book! It would be great for parents who have girls.

This is a book full of limericks. The one I read was called “There once was a student named Sonny.“ This is great for laughs and to lighten up the classroom mood.
This makes me think of the toddlers I work with at the Child Development Center, so I would read probably this to children around the their age.

This is a fantastic read! It's an adventure with so much more. However, since this is a chapter book, I would have older children read it.

I love how the illustrations show the thought process/conversation he's having with himself by having a dark figure like he's talking to them.

This is a very informational book about a man named John Roy Lynch who works his way from being a slave to being a congressman.

I like this book for a couple reasons. One, it rhymes which can help keep the students' attention. Two, the illustrations are great.

This is a good book discussing slavery. It's a life story of Belle starting from when she was born to when she was advocating for women's rights.

This would be a great book to read to students when discussing black history month or doing an assignment about biographies.
