DGRachel Oh. Oh no. This makes me physically ill. This is absolutely abominable and the fact that these laws are still on the books in some form in every state, with the current political climate, terrifies me. 3y
GingerAntics @DGRachel right? It makes life even more dangerous for women who don‘t have cars. As if that‘s not dangerous enough. Life as a woman is already dangerous enough in this country. I‘m not sure how many nut jobs actually know about these laws, but one nut job who reads is all it takes. 3y
Chrissyreadit And we criticize the taliban? At least they are open about the atrocities they commit 3y

GingerAntics @Chrissyreadit EXACTLY!!! Such hypocrisy. 3y
GingerAntics @Chrissyreadit also, the Taliban makes their desires clear. “You must be with a male family members, you must wear a burka, etc, etc, etc.” Here, it‘s just a cop was bored and saw a woman walking down the street or shopping. 🙄 3y
DGRachel And you know what else makes me mad about these laws that basically make it illegal to be female? All the men who don‘t have a clue how awful it is. My female coworkers and I were talking about feeling unsafe walking to our cars, entering parking garages, and a male coworker looked at us like we were insane, and I‘m a white woman! I can‘t even fathom what it‘s like for WOC. 😭😭 3y
GingerAntics @DGRachel oh my god, the cluelessness of men. And these are supposed to be the “superior gender?” I call BS. The violent guys are why we have to be cautious and have a reason to fear, but these indifferent men are why that‘s not going to change. Men don‘t see anything wrong with these laws, if they even know about them, because they think it protects them. Never mind, women usually get these diseases from MEN. Sometimes I can‘t stand men… 3y
GingerAntics @DGRachel which really makes being a straight woman really complicated and confusing. You‘re right about how as white women, we have things easier. I can‘t even imagine being a woc. They are most impacted by these hideous laws, these old ones and the newer ones. We have got to do better by 51% of Americans (women). 3y
