“All at once without a breath of wind, the hat blew into a fountain. “Flippity flying hat!“ laughed Magritte as he jumped in after it.“

I was intrigued by the cover of this book and that's why I chose to read it. I think that would be applicable for children too. They would be drawn into this story because of the cool cover, and then they'd get to stay for the awesome book. I think that kids would love the inter-activeness of the story, and I definitely would recommend this story.
This picture book tells the story of a dog and his marvelous hat! The art was inspired by surrealist painter Rene Magritte. I really loved the interactive pictures in this story, and that's what drew me in. I was so interested in the cover art that I just knew the story would have beautiful illustrations as well. I think this story would be great for classrooms because of the interactive art! I really recommend this story!
This was such a cool book! I‘ve never really seen transparent pages in any other book I‘ve read so it was super interesting!
Magritte‘s Marvelous Hat by D.B. Johnson is a picture book that was created in 2012. The illustrations in this book are AMAZING! I love how it has the transparent pages that make changes to the pages before it. The story line was also interesting. I think children would really enjoy this book not only for its fun story, but they would be in love with the pictures and transparent pages!
“and every afternoon Magritte painted a new picture better than his best”
This book is great! Amazing illustrations!! love it!
This picture book is so fun! The illustrations are done in a very exciting way. With clear pages that move the illustrations. The story is sweet and light. It also inspires creativity for the readers.
This is my favorite part where the hat finally will sit on top of his head.
This is about a dog named Magritte and his magic hat that plays hide and seek with him.
“The next day magritte and the hat took a walk. The hat floated playfully above his head, and everyone he passed giggled with surprise.”
This book is very unique. It would really catch young readers eyes by the see through page illustrations
This is a quote from the back of the book. I really liked it because you never know what the next page has or what‘s behind it. Also this is a quote from René Magritte which the character from the book is inspired by!
I loved this feature of the book! There are a few pages that are transparent and have a drawing or two on it so when you flip that page, it moves those drawings to the next page! I believe the children would be very interested and might even try and make there own page like this to add!

I love this book and how the children can interact with it as they read it. There are a few pages that are clear plastic with drawings on it so when you flip the page, the pictures move.
#ANewChapter Day 6: Inspired by the artist Magritte and his art, this is a kaleidoscopic, off-kilter type of picturebook that aims to introduce readers to the way a surrealist perceives the world. Definitely a #UniqueRead. There were attempts to create something unique, as can be seen in the transparencies in the pages, allowing for a different way of layering the story & superimposing a different narrative altogether. https://wp.me/pDlzr-j9d
Magritte knows the way to my heart. All the cheese all day every day.
He is also a particularly playful and dreamy painter. Check his stuff out - filled with mystery and poetry and WTF moments. Loved this museum. Definitely a must-see while in Brussels.
And interesting book about a floating hat and its artist owner. The illustrations are fantastic, and I love the clear pages that are double sided and help change one picture to the next.
