pickWow. This was not a light read for me. I don‘t expect feminist critique of the male gaze and r*pe culture in a shōjo manga but it‘s certainly welcome.
We‘ll see where it goes from here. That I‘m aware there are only two (translated, anyway) volumes in the series.

Nina doesn‘t like to wear mini skirts or dress feminine. She gets mad at girls around her who just want to dress for the boys. But she has a very big secret. She was once the center Idol for Pure Club. She was the star. Until she was attached at a hand holding event.
And there is a boy involved. He sees the idol under the pants. But why??
Overall I enjoyed the read, but I didn‘t love it.
Thanks to #Netgalley and Viz Media I got the chance to read #NotYourIdol, a drama about an idol who stopped being an idol after she was attacked. It‘s an interesting exploration so far of femininity, masculinity, and the cost of fame. It‘ll be interesting to see if later volumes keep what the first volume started or if it‘ll fall into same old drama which there is hints of to come.
