I liked the way Kelly, Ayinde and Becky met. How each were so different and yet got along well. I liked the way they accepted Lia in their small mom‘s group.

Book 23
I listened to Little Earthquakes by Jennifer Weiner, an easy and compelling read about new mothers struggling with a variety of challenges. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I really enjoyed this book. It‘s a pretty raw look at the reality of new motherhood and marital relationships. The novel follows 4 women, who became friends because of their shared experiences and are each on their own journey with their own pitfalls. Funny, at times poignant and even heartbreaking. Most mothers (and maybe some fathers) will find elements of this story that ring true.
My next read....has been on my shelf since I was in the throes of baby and toddlerhood with my youngest two. Now they are 12 & 10! Trying to clear my bookshelves!
I always appreciate Jennifer Weiner for creating characters who feel so very real and for writing dialogue that actually sounds like it would come out of their mouths. I don't have kids nor have I ever wanted them at all, but she got me to read a book all about new motherhood, so 💯 for that, haha. This was funny and light but also heavy at times, which I like. Main issue was these loser men the women were with was frustrating. Ugh DTMFA!! 4/5 ⭐
The words flew out of her mouth like a flock of malevolent birds.
🤣💯
great "girls" book, really enjoyed it - made me smile, made me cry.... just perfect
