A Pick-ish...3¾⭐
A decent medical thriller with subject matter that is timely, alarming even, but also really quite interesting. Like something we should all be made aware of. Sadly, the narration didn‘t quite cut it. I‘m sure that I would have enjoyed this more with a better narrator because her voice was so nasally, I was left not wanting to pick the book back up, again.

This is part medical drama/ part drug world thriller. Dealing with a fatal batch of Fentanyl, this story feels real. Like you could read it a newspaper. ER doctor Julies Rees, a vulnerable, heroine on the front lines is on duty when multiple teenagers who are overdosing are brought into her ER. Unable to save all but one, she knows she must find out who is behind this rogue batch of Fentanyl, before the bodies really drop.

An entertaining & informative medical thriller about the opioid crisis. Who would have guessed that my #ShadowGiller project would have me reading 3 books in a row that are partly set in Vancouver‘s Downtown Eastside? #CanLit

Thank to Netgalley for the ARC Kindle

Book grabs you at the beginning. Very timely as it deal with the opoid crisis. Teens get ahold of fentnyl and end up in ER. ER Doctor helps Detectives with case. That's all I want to tell you, other than go get this book when it comes out on May 12th!
