Meet Andrea Marr, straight-A high school student, thrift-store addict, and princess of the downtown music scene. Andrea is about to experience her first love, first time, and first step outside the comfort zone of high school, with the help of indie rock band The Color Green. "After I saw Todd Sparrow something deep inside me began to change. It was not a big change and I didn't shave my head and I didn't really think any differently about my life or Hillside or anything like that. But one glimpse of Todd and you immediately realized how limited you were and all the things you could do if you could just break out of your normal existence and stop worrying about what everyone thought."

Bailedbailed

So I started reading this book. And then I just had to stop. I just like couldn‘t with all the teen speak, you know? It was just so random and, I guess, vapid with all the high school gossip over frozen yogurt.

Maybe I‘m just too old now to read this type of YA 😵‍💫

My third and last #roll100 for August!

PuddleJumper Yay! That's great! 2y
yash_sy Hi,
My name is Yash Patel, a UX designer by profession. I am designing an app for avid readers like you, where you can borrow & lend your books over the internet across the city/state level. For this, I am conducting the survey. I would appreciate it if you spare a few minutes and participate in this survey.

This was so compelling! It‘s written exactly as a teenage girl thinks, which sounds like it would be hard to follow, but it‘s hard to put down. It‘s really fun!

AutumnRLS This is coming in the mail soon. Ordered it used with the same cover! Excited to read an Amber Bensin pick :) 6y

A look into the inside of a teenage girl‘s brain as she explores the 90s Portland punk scene. It‘s written exactly like teenage girls talk, which sounds like it‘d be weird, but it‘s so compelling and fun!

CheshireKal I read this book when I was in high school in the ‘90s and LOVED it. They made it into a terrible movie I couldn‘t get through. 7y

My green(ish) books + my one pink book. I was surprised to find there was only 1 pink one - but it's a favorite going way way back. Has anyone else read it?
