HELLO!

I am cancelling my audible subscription and have 12 credits to use! 😅

I am an avid Libby audiobook user, so I'd like to use my credits on *audible only* titles that I can't find at the library.

I've already got my eye on several Sarah J Maas titles....but need help finding others!! They are so hard to search for!!

!!RECOMMENDATIONS NEEDED!!

I like thriller, mysteries, YA, and historical romance
Thank you SO much
☺️

xicanti Ellen Kushner‘s Riverside books are Audible-only, and they‘re great productions. SWORDSPOINT is technically the first one, but all three work as standalones. 2y
TheNeverendingTBR Libby? What's that, is it free? 2y
xicanti …and I just realized you didn‘t list fantasy in your preferred genres. Oops. The SJM thing threw me off. 2y

LibrarianRyan @TheNeverendingTBR Maybe. If your public library offers the service (aka Overdrive) then yes it is free. If they don't offer the service, you can actually buy a yearly card from the Brooklyn Public Library to use their Libby and other downloadable services for $50 a year. 2y
TheNeverendingTBR @LibrarianRyan Oh I thought this was for Audio books, I don't use the library; I prefer to buy physical books and if I don't like them--I sell them or give them away. I am though looking for free audio books as I'm always out of credits on Audible 😆 2y
LibrarianRyan @TheNeverendingTBR Libby does do audiobooks. So does Hoopla. Both from your library. Hoopla has more independent authors but your library could have a compleatly different service, these are just the two most popular.

If you prefer to buy - try Libro.fm - like audioble, but supports indies rather than bezos, or Chirp. Chirp is discount audiobooks and the selection changes frequently. They are the same group that does book bub ⬇

LibrarianRyan @TheNeverendingTBR And book bup is discounted ebooks and indie ebooks. Like I said, chirp is by the same people. Imagine paying 4.99 for an ebook that usually costs 25.99. You do have to use the chirp app, but that's not really a big deal. (chirpbooks.com) 2y
LibrarianRyan @TheNeverendingTBR Also, because I can not help myself : AudioBookSync - this is a yearly summer program where you can get 2 ebooks a week. They are specific titles but they are free. Usually a newer book mixed with a classic. I am not a fan of this years list, but I still have plenty from years past. And the new season just started. (edited) 2y
LibrarianRyan @TheNeverendingTBR Also, again, cant help myself, I see that you like sci-fi/fantasy/horror - Tor Ebook Club. A free ebook (not audiobook) almost monthly. But authors. Sometimes they even do a series, where for like a week every day is a different book. They did that for Wayword Children and for Murderbot. The new one is just now out and there are only 3 days to download. 2y
TheNeverendingTBR @LibrarianRyan Thanks for taking the time to explain all of this, it was very informative. 👍 2y
brittanyreads THANK YOU! @LibrarianRyan I'm actually switching to libro fm from audible. Much rather support the indies! @TheNeverendingTBR 2y
brittanyreads @xicanti thanks!! It's adult fantasy? I do enjoy fantasy, just mostly YA fantasy. I've been meaning to expand into adult though! Just haven't found anything yet! 2y
xicanti It‘s low-magic adult fantasy with an historical feel. 2y
brittanyreads Sounds right up my alley! @xicanti 2y
