Parable of the Sower | 
pickI have heard a lot of chatter about this book in the last few months. Local indie bookstores never had a copy. I wasn‘t going to read the graphic novel adaptation first, but I couldn‘t resist. I wasn‘t prepared for how devastating, dark, and violent the story would be. I can only imagine what the actual book will be like. There is a small bit of hope in the end of the story. Themes: end stage capitalism, billionaires, climate change. 🌎🔥
