Today is National Indigenous Peoples Day (June is Indigenous History month) in Canada. I‘ve posted recommendations for Indigenous reads before but given recent events and the current climate, I think pointing people to these books is extremely necessary.

Not on this list but highly recommended: The Incovenient Indian, Up Ghost River, All Our Relations, The Right to be Cold, and the tagged book.
