- sex on page 50? A few exceptions aside, that is way too soon
- useless constant 1st person POV switches, with no indication whose perspective it is
- bisexual erasure
- This line: "I would bet Kitty doesn't care that I'm 1/4 white settler and 3/4 Chinese." ...Uh, why is her Chinese / mixed race background being described as a negative thing a partner would have to overlook??
