4.25⭐
Did this bring anything new to the dystopian genre…not really. But it was fun and these characters were surprisingly warmhearted for a gang of cannibals. The narration by Stephanie Willis was very well performed.

Mehso-so

Squidapus thought Bite was alright. It's a fairly straight forward post apocalyptic adventure that really succeeds or fails entirely on if you like the characters or not. It does have occasional moments of clever subversion where it leans into tropes pretty hard then resolves them in a funny, self aware manner but most of the time it's just played generically straight. If this wasn't such a quick read Squidapus probably wouldn't recommend it.

I liked parts of this book. I'm a fan of the character and the plot. I could not get into the writing style, nor the way conversations were written. And that ending. Meh.
