When in Key West, why not read about Key West?
I enjoy reading survival stories. This was more about the difficulties of building a bridge through the Florida Keys than the 1935 hurricane, I still enjoyed learning. I admit most of the engineering went over my head; I think Standiford did a great job trying to explain the vernacular. Now, I want to read Under a Dark Summer Sky.
"Dreaming up a railroad to Key West is the stuff of another era, and its undertaking is the work of another kind of man."
Learning a little bit more about my crazy home state and getting a lot of inspiration to do big things along the way. What books inspire you?
