I have been a fan of ā€Sex in the Cityā€¯ since the beginning; naturally I was drawn to the ā€pre-Carrieā€¯ per Candace Bushnell. I loved this book. It took me longer to get through- it was well worth it. I loved seeing how Carrie met her dynamic three as their relationships are iconic and protruded through the book so well. It was inspiring because ā€Carrie never wins, especially at love.ā€¯ And isn‘t that something every person can relate to?

Absolutely dreadful. Carrie is obnoxious & the inappropriate relationship (albeit with no sexual intercourse) between her (a 17 year old) & Bernard (in his 30s) has a definite ick factor. Carrie lies about her age but she is so immature it‘s difficult to see how people could believe she was even a couple of years older. I only finished it for a book challenge prompt. 1āļø¸

Jess7 @EllieDottie I've only ever read this one #TheLakeHouse , but it was very, very good. It starts off a little slow, but once it picks up, you will likely not be able to put it down. It was so good I didn't really want it to be over. If I didn't already have so many new books coming in from holds' list at the library I would have already read more by her. Next up on my list by her is #TheSecretKeeper.
