It takes our narrator on a wild and dangerous ride! A quick paced, funny, edgy, mystery with some dark subject matter. #canlit

pickThis snarky, grammar-conscious, bisexual social worker / amateur detective captured my imagination! Her narrative is very meta and clever. Side characters were wonderful, including a former Hong Kong gymnastics star ended up homeless and a lesbian sex worker. The mystery was fun too! Caveats: the mystery is based around the death of a sex worker; too positive portrayal of cops; 2 unchallenged cis characters who use the t-slur for trans women.
