My third Capote. This one's somewhat different from the other two I know. The text is unfinished, the afterword explains, why. Even though I already know that I won't remember the story, I still consider it a Pick, because it was an enjoyable journey into the world of Americas Rich and Famous.
Oh Truman. After reading The Swans of 5th Avenue, I had to read Answered Prayers. Reading the chapter La Côte Basque and knowing the fallout it caused, after he outed his famous friends, just makes me sad. The story is incomplete because Truman never finished the book before he died, but I do feel it is worth reading if you are a fan of Truman. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ #readathon
My current library books inspired by The Swans of 5th Avenue. The more I read about Truman Capote and his "swans", the more fascinated I become. Thanks to Litsy for putting Swans on my radar and starting all of this madness!!! ?????
