I would write more about this book but I‘m too busy gathering yarn! I am inspired and on the lookout for a sneaky yarn bombing opportunity.

queerbookreader @Crystalblu It's an amazing book, I highly recommend checking it out sooner rather than later. I use the basic kimchi recipe from it all the time and it is delicious !!! 7y
Crystalblu Sold! I saw a blurb in a cooking mag awhile ago and was curious. Looks like a perfect addition to my cookbook library ;) 7y

Onto . I wish crafty Littens lived closer so we could make a yarn bombing group and listen to audiobooks together 😩

haileybean I‘ve been trying to get more people in to yarn crafts with me. The closest I have is @AprilMaesBookHabit, who probably gets annoyed with me trying to get her to do a stitch & bitch with me 7y
AmandaL That would be awesome. 7y
Annl I have a shop I go to in Florida and there is a great group of people! We have not yarn bombed anything yet! Maybe over the holiday? What are you knitting? I just finished a pair of socks and immediately started on another pair! 7y

queerbookreader @haileyhugsbooks I tried out a knitting circle at the library, but the old ladies there............some were very very not nice. And the rest just did what the not nice ones did. So I'm out of yarn friends again. Are you located anywhere in western New York 7y
haileybean Nope, sorry. I‘m in MN. :( I‘m sorry your knitting circle wasn‘t a good environment! I thought about joining a prayer scarf knitting group here just to get around others who knit but I‘ve heard not nice things about them too. 7y
queerbookreader @Annl I crochet!!! I am the world's worst knitter 🙈 been working on a sweater for a plant pot recently, and I just got some yarn for a scarf a friend of mine has commissioned me to make. She wants a hufflepuff scarf with newt's hufflepuff scarf colors from fantastic beasts and I'm very excited to make it 😍 7y
Annl You might want to look into the knitting shops. A lot of them have time when you can go in and knit with others. 7y
AprilMae @haileyhugsbooks nah, never annoyed with you, my project progress yes, you no. 7y

Flipped through the tagged book last night and got inspired to do some textile graffiti; too scared to put it out in public where people can see, so I'm focusing on yarn bombing my parent's stuff for now. 😇

I thought this book would be more photo collections of yarnbombs, but it's much more an instruction manual and celebration of alternative textile art. Which is still neat!! Just not what I expected it to be.

AmandaL ❤️! Years ago I yarn bombed the entrance to the town lake for Halloween. I did a Spider and the Fly yarn sculpture. It was gone within the hour, and I have no idea what happened to it. 😄 It's such a fun thing to do! 7y
queerbookreader @AmandaL >:O I would be so mad if someone took mine down after an hour!!! That's why my plan is when I go public, I'm going to hit the library first. They seem like the least likely to mind their furniture looking like yarn puke. 7y
AmandaL @thequeerspiderwoman 😂 Make sure you take a picture! 7y

I have zero artistic ability - but definitely appreciate the creativity of others. I've seen yarn bombs around town and borrowed this from the library on a whim. I was expecting it to be pictures of yarn bombings around the world and maybe some insight about the taggers, etc. This has a bit of that, but a majority of the second half was a how-to on yarn bombing, including patterns. I wanted more of the first half and less of the latter.

[DELETED] 3803335244 This pic is too funny! 8y
thegirlwiththelibrarybag Yarn bombing is so cool! I often spot 'yarn bombs' in Melbourne. If you were interested in yarn bombing in fiction - I found this book hilarious 8y
Eyelit Thanks for the heads up! Added to my list 😃 @thegirlwiththelibrarybag 8y
LitHousewife That is fantastic! 8y
