Beautiful poem. I would love to use this as a writing prompt. Children might think of a metaphor and write about what sticks to them. Or color if they can't write yet.

#ReadHarder2020: A picture book with a human main character from a marginalized community. #ReadHarder

I don't normally read picture books, except to my niblings, and I haven't been able to see them this year, so I wasn't sure what to do about this prompt. Then I saw @BeaG's review of this book and decided to check it out. It's a sweet book with really gorgeous art, and I may well buy a copy for the niblings.

Another great picture book. This story is about a little girl who wears the same dress every day, but captures memories on her dress. The memories for the day become the print on her dress. Loved it.
