The Midnight Circus | Jane Yolen

so-so

Misleading title/cover. These stories do not in any way pertain to a circus or circus-like atmosphere. They do not have a cohesive theme, but are all fantastical in nature & primarily VERY dark. The writing is quite good & the creativity range is expansive. Good atmospheres & pacing. The stories were a mixed bag. There were a few I really enjoyed (4 - 4.5 star level) & a few I really didn't (1-2 star level). The majority were simply average.
