pickWell contrary to other reviews I found this fascinating. Basically a verbal narrative of the history and experience of being a Foreign Legionnaire from recruitment, to training and deployment to some truly remote and dangerous locations around the world. Provides an insight into what makes the legion different; commitment to unit rather than country, the legion as a substitute family where a recruit can spend the rest of life.
