"Strangely, not many men stop to wonder WHY feminists dislike them so much- if they did, they might notice the statistics are quite damning. But they're too busy explaining to us that they're NOT like that, that it's not nice to generalize like that. And if we alienate them with talk of "men are trash", the risk is they won't join in and help us with our struggle. As if we were incapable of organizing our struggle without them."
pickDespite the provocative title and reputation as a "banned" book , the ideas contained within are not shocking. Men DO physically harm women at alarmingly high rates; men DO contribute less to domestic life and raising children; and distrust or shunning of men as a response has never hurt anyone, except for the feelings of fragile dudes who feel personally wounded by critiques of systemic misogyny.
